This has to be one of my favorite Fall/Winter recipes. I have made this many times but this year I added one little ingredient that brought it to perfection.
INGREDIENT LIST
1 bag of lentils
1 packet of chili seasoning
1/4 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
1 can of tomato sauce
1 can of black beans
2 cups of diced potatoes (any kind)
2 cups of diced sweet potatoes
8 cups of water
1/2 tsp of salt or add as desired
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients into a large pot. Make sure to stir and mix all ingredients together prior to boiling. Allow Chili to cook on medium heat until lentils and potatoes are soft.
I used to use a pot on the stove, however now I use a ninja foodie pressure cooker. ** If using a pressure cooker allow for one full 10 min cycle and then place on keep warm mode**
(When re-heating, you can heat over stove or pressure cook for 5 min)
